O knihe
This paper analyzes the political-philosophical thought of Norberto Bobbio, expressed in the work Age of Rights, highlighting the contributions of the thinker to the human rights discourse. It highlights the political scientist's concern with the effective promotion of human life, only possible through the apparatus of civil laws and constitutions. Both need democracy, as a political system, for their foundation, which would be a counterpoint to jusnaturalism. His theory argues that the conceptual construction of human rights occurred only in Modernity, so that the writings that precede it, and that evoke concerns regarding man's needs, would have the status of presuppositions. He states that the more mankind trails itineraries of peace and respect, the more it progresses morally, showing that human rights are historical and changeable. He also highlights the amplitude of human life in its totality, which requires the axioms freedom and justice, supported by philosophical reflection and political participation, safeguarding human dignity and the common good.
