O knihe

Environment is one of the most important factors in the development of all organisms. The most widely studied physical factors crucial for fungal growth are temperature and media. Both can influence mycelial growth and sporulation. Physical and chemical environment can be used for determination of fungal species because fungi are very diverse in their morphological forms. In this book we present influence of temperature and nutrition media on development of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Botrytis cinerea, Chalara elegans and Fusarium sp. All presented research shows that media and temperature have significant influence on mycelial development. In case of S. sclerotiorum, the fungi developed better on 15 and 22°C compared to fungal growth on 30°C. On 30°C development of Botrytis cinerea on pH 6,5 was statistically significantly better compared to mycelium growth on pH 8,0. On 15 and 22°C fungi developed equally well on all pH. C. elegans had the best growth on carrot agar and it was statistically significantly better compared to growth on PDA and water agar. Fusarium species had the best growth on PDA media and on 22° C.
