The present work is a pioneering effort to bridge to some extent, the gape that exists in Library and Information Science due to scarcity of empirical research. The study has been undertaken to measure the level of job satisfaction of library professionals working in academic libraries. It also endeavors to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and some demographic variables and organizational factors.
