O knihe
'The role of philosophy in human development has on many occasions been questioned, ridiculed and sometimes even met with outright rejection altogether.' Hence, any serious attempt to enforce philosophy should start with the problem of the addressees' receptiveness to philosophy. So, the author proposes 'Mlingano Philosophical Advocacy Attempts (MPAA)' as a twofold programme of the advocacy of philosophy: a Construction of Foundational Introductions to Philosophy and a Construction of Human Philosophy. It is a reaction to two reasons attributable to the obscurity of understanding the role of philosophy in human development: the addressees' 'misconception of the inner nature of philosophy,' and the 'self-alienation of philosophy through its stubborn refusal to speak to people's real life.' Whereas foundational introductions react to the misconception, human philosophy responds to philosophy's self-alienation. In this book, the author extends the enquiry into notable examples of human philosophy. Precisely, he considers John Rawls' philosophy of justice as one of the excellent examples of human philosophy. This work comes out as the third contribution to the MPAA publication series.
