This book consists of three chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter will look at the Bena Kongo during pre-colonial times, the migration of the Bena Kongo from ancient Egypt to the promised land of Kongo dia Ntotela, the creation of the Kongo Empire (Kingdom) and the Independent State of Congo and the influence of this people in Central Africa, the black slave trade and the triangular trade. The second chapter will content itself with some highlights of the Belgian colonization, then the awakening of the Congolese for decolonization with the contribution of Mbuta Paul PANDA FARNANA and Mfumu Simon KIMBANGU as well as the different socio-cultural, political and ideological movements. As for the third chapter, it will briefly outline some facts about Joseph KASA VUBU and the independence of the Democratic Republic of Congo by first talking briefly about the biography of this illustrious figure.
