The revised edition puts special emphasis on two topics. Firstly, the influence of the law of obligations modernization law on sections 362 pp. (§§ 362 ff.) is much greater than expected. Secondly, there are changes in the payment habits of the population: Whereas bills of exchange and above all checks are losing their significance, the cashless forms of money transfer are becoming more and more predominant. They are to be classified under performance law, which originally did not provide for these cashless transfer forms.
