O knihe
Laser induced plasma spectroscopy (LIPS) has become an increasingly popular technique for qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis. Compared with other techniques of elemental analysis such as ICP-AES and XRF spectroscopy, LIPS is much superior because setting up an apparatus to perform a LIPS measurement is very simple and also micro-area analysis and in-situ analysis can be realized. In LIPS, there are still several problems to be solved for practical application especially for the analysis of organic materials, soils, and powder materials. In this book, a novel method realizing a breakthrough of conventional laser induced breakdown spectroscopy method has been developed by utilizing a pulsed transversely excited atmospheric CO2 laser-induced gas plasma. By devising many unique sampling techniques, we have proved that the LIGP spectroscopy method can be applied for highly sensitive and direct elemental analysis on various samples such as powder, organic solid (soft material), sodium aerosol and so on. By using the LIGPS method, the weak points of the conventional LIBS method can almost be solved. Thus, we called this LIGPS method is breakthrough of conventional LIPS.
