Since the development of ruby laser by Maiman in 1960, a variety of studies on the potential applications of lasers in dentistry have been conducted. Many applications like computer-aided design and rapid prototyping technology, and the study of occlusion in complete dentures using a three-dimensional laser scanner have been developed.
