It is more than fifteen years since the second volume of the Wakefield Court Rolls was published, though matter for this and quite another volume has been lying in ms. Since 1901 in our Society's Library at Leeds. The two volumes already published were very ably edited, and Introductions written for them, by Mr. W. Paley Baildon. This being the case, so far as an Intro duction is concerned to the present volume, it would seem that but a few pages are necessary.
