This book presents a self-assessment framework based on maturity grids for manufacturing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that can measure their performance in order to identify the direction for improvement. The main characteristics of manufacturing SMEs are established and performance dimensions, sub-dimensions and measures are identified taking these characteristics into consideration. A self-assessment tool has been developed for performance management in manufacturing SMEs for identified performance dimensions, sub-dimensions and measures.This self-assessment tool will be helpful in directing the owner/manager towards continuous improvement and improved manufacturing strategies.
