International migration, the flow of people across international boundaries, has been studied from several perspectives, especially since the Syrian civil war in 2011. In this regard, the book differs from other works in that it includes comprehensive and historical analyzes of internal and external migration since the Ottoman Empire, rather than just focusing on current international migration to Turkey, as well as an identity-based and cultural perspective that goes beyond the social, economic and political perspective.
