The book x-rays the various laws (pre and post independence) enacted and promulgated to regulate media practice by successive colonial, military as well as civilian governments in Nigeria. The ethical requirements, theories and approaches for efficient and articulate professional media practice were also discussed. To this end, the ethical dilemmas and common causes of unethical practices among Nigerian media practitioners were identified with suggested way forward for both government and media proprietors to revamp the forth estate of realm, including a call for a law proscribing unprofessional practice and a 'Renewable Practicing License' for media practitioners. It is believed that this concise edition of the book will serve as a Bible for effective legally and ethically driven media practice in Nigeria and beyond.
