Bacterial Leaf Blight caused by the bacterial pathogen Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) limits rice yield in all major rice growing regions of the world, especially in irrigated lowland and rainfed conditions where predisposition factors favour disease development to epidemic proportions.
