The book deals with both physiological and pathological clear cells. This short review of clear cells tells about the reasons of appearance of these cells in normal tissue which could be due the artifact of fixation but in some instances they may be reflection of peculiar functional states of the tumor cells, as reported especially in salivary gland tumors. Lesions of clear cell is being classified under various headings under different categories. Clear cell tumors of the oral mucosa, jaws, and salivary glands constitute a heterogeneous group of lesions and may be either salivary gland, odontogenic, or metastatic in origin. Special stains and molecular analysis proved to be a mandatory tool for the diagnosis of lesions having clear cells of varied origin. Thus this review of clear cells concluded by saying that Clear cell lesions are an unidentifiable kind of neoplasms which represent a new type of lesions.
