Present monograph is the primary step towards understanding diversity of two major groups of Angiosperms, Arecidae and Lilidae occurring in central India.Throughout world total 06 families, 40 genera and 5600 species of subclass Arecidae and total 19 families, 127 genera and 25000 species of subclass Lilidae are updated.36 genera belonging to 06 families of sub-class Arecidae and 61 genera belonging to 19 families of Sub-class Lilidae are reported in Maharashtra state of India.
