O knihe

One of the most urgent problems of medicine today is the coronavirus infection. One of the important problems of modern neurology is the study of types of damage to the nervous system as a complication of Covid-19 disease. Serious neurological complications in patients with Covid-19: acute diffuse encephalomyelitis, inflammation of the central nervous system in dozens of patients, mental changes, stroke, Guillain-Barré syndrome, which damages the nerves and leads to paralysis observation of the immune response indicates the urgency of this problem. It is very difficult to establish a causal relationship between the infection of the coronavirus and the complications arising from it, but in most of the considered examples it is possible to talk about one or another complication as a consequence of COVID-19. Given that this is a new virus, the future neurological consequences of this virus are not yet fully understood. Of course, further studies on large groups of patients are needed to fully understand the mechanisms of the development of complications, the degree of their relationship with COVID-19, and the development of treatment regimes and subsequent rehabilitation.
