O knihe

The recent pandemic caused by COVID-19 has not only affected people's physical health but also their mental health. The aim of this paper was to conduct a systematic review about the influence of COVID on the exacerbation and incidence rate of OCD symptoms in both OCD patients and healthy population. The results, obtained from 23 research articles and 1 case study, are classified according to population, sex and geographical area, and are discussed and contrasted with previous pandemics. Two contradictory lines are obtained as the main result: on the one hand, OCD symptoms have been negatively affected by COVID, and on the other hand, they have not been influenced and have even improved. Future research should consider continuing to study this issue in order to bring more light to it.
