O knihe

Patti the prawn is a beautifully illustrated story book with a very important life lesson: the importance of honesty. Patti shows young readers that if you tell lies all the time, others will no longer believe you or trust you. The story and illustrations also teach readers about prawns and other marine life.
Patti lives at the bottom of the sea with a small group of prawns. She loves her friends but she also tells them lies when it suits her. One day she says she doesn't feel well so she doesn't have to help find food. Another day she lies about seeing a big fish coming to eat the prawns, then laughs when they all get scared. The more lies Patti tells the easier it gets. After a while the other prawns stop taking any notice of what Patti says. One day Rafi her friend tells Patti that it's wrong to tell lies - the other prawns do not believe anything Patti says, even if it is the truth. Patti realizes that it would be terrible if nobody believed her when she told the truth. What if she told everybody there really was a big fish coming and nobody believed her? The fish might eat her friends. Patti feels sorry and becomes an honest little prawn.
