O knihe
The long-term optimist PiPO experiences the craziest adventures with his friends Pipette, Julius, Bonfire, Rolfi, Flock, Pronto, Pip and Maz in this funny comic strip series. PiPO is the hero of the series. Imaginative, witty and tireless, he encounters the everyday adventures of life and tries to master them with optimism, which he does not always succeed. ROLFI, the mole, has the talent to always appear in the wrong place at the wrong time and causes chaos. A whole gang of moles helps him and often drives PiPO to sheer despair. Pipette is the friend of PiPO, and she is not fooled by him, she is self-confident and witty. PRONTO, the crocodile would love to eat PiPO's friends PiP and MAZ, if only they were not so terribly clever .... Bonfire, the dog, is always available for every trick. Julius is a comfortable and loyal friend, but his weight problems always bring him into difficult situations. FLOCK, the beaver, intervenes into the action with his teeth and his tail, which gives him special abilities. PiP and MAZ, the two weird birds, interpret life in a very special way. Tomé invented the character "PiPO" in 1979 for the Swiss newspaper "Walliser Bote". At that time it was still called "WeBechen" and was a dog. Later, the character was renamed "PiPO" by a stewardess on a flight to South America. The series was translated into more than five languages and was published in daily newspapers in the USA, Germany and Switzerland.
