O knihe

This study sets out to explore the nexus between this political culture of violence and national security in Nigeria. However, the study concludes that the rise of ethnic militias for political gains has not increased the people's access to social services. More so, the research contends that the support of violent activities by prominent Nigerian has not enhanced the building of an egalitarian society. This is because the close link of government officials to perpetrators of violence has not enhanced justice/fairness to all. Based on the findings, the study recommends among other things to create the condition for unity and stability, necessary for the socio-political and economic development of the country, the government should identify with the ethnic militias in the country by organizing a national conference, where their demands will be debated and deliberated on, with the aim of finding a lasting solution.
