Problems of Small Farmers Regarding Low Level of Production

Pakistan is an agricultural country and agriculture is backbone of the economy of Pakistan. There are various factors that are responsible for the low level of production in agriculture sector. Due to this the per acre yield is very low as compare to developed countries. Agriculture has been the major occupation of the people of Pakistan. Even today agriculture is a major sector and occupies a very important place in the economy of Pakistan. It not only provides food for our growing population but is a source of raw materials for our principal industries as well as a source of foreign exchange for our government. Agriculture is a science and practice of producing crops and livestock from the natural resources of the earth. The primary aim of agriculture is to cause the land to produce more abundantly and at the same time to protect it from deterioration and misuse. The diverse branches of modern agriculture include agronomy, horticulture, economic entomology, animal husbandry, dairying, agricultural engineering, soil chemistry, and agricultural economics.
