Chitosan is a linear polysaccharide composed of randomly distributed ß-(1-4)-linked D-glucosamine (deacetylated unit) and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (acetylated unit). It has potential applications including food industry, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, environment, medicine uses, artificial organs and drugs membranes and agriculture such as fungicide, soil modifier and elicitor. Chitosan found in the cell wall of certain groups of fungi, particularly Zygomycetes. Nano chitosan was prepared using produced fungal chitosan and were applied in several fields such as antimicrobial activity, heavy metals removal and remediation of municipal and industrial wastewater
