The primary goal of this book is to enhance the images which are taken from fluid lens cameras, where these cameras introduce unique image processing challenges. The fluid lens camera or fluid optics has many advantages over normal glass lens systems; mainly it has no moving parts while zooming, which are helpful for surgical applications mainly for laparoscopic images.
