O knihe

The study reveals that the rights of children are not fully recognised and enforced in Nigeria; and as such, not satisfactory. The study therefore lays emphasis on the observance of the rights of children that would guarantee them proper care, treatment and adequate welfare in line with international standard irrespective of their culture, race, ethnicity and religion. It however identifies the challenges in the strict observance of children's rights and proffers suggestions on ways to improve their status as recognised in international legal instruments. The role of parents, religious bodies, legal and traditional institutions and the law enforcement agents are highly required to ensure proper treatment and care of children.
