O knihe
The human body can fight almost all types of foreign bodies such as micro-organisms or toxins through the specialized system called the immune system. Innate Immunity present in the body since birth while adaptive immunity developed with age with exposure to different antigens may be called specific immunity. The functional component of the immune system originated from myeloid and lymphoid precursor cells of haemopoietic stem cells. Cells of innate immunity are from myeloid precursor cells granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, mast cells, and basophils and the cells of adaptive immunity developed from lymphoid precursor cells i.e. the B and T lymphocytes. B lymphocytes produce antibodies while T lymphocytes work as helper, cytotoxic, and suppressor cells. Lymph nodes, spleen and thymus provide support for the function of the cellular component of the immune system.
