Excerpt from A Chronological List of the Shock Descendants: Beginning With Adam Shock Who Was Born About 1765 and Died About 1840
In this little volume, the author has attempted to collect and compile a chronological list of the names of the Shock families that are descendants of Adam Shock, whose parents, it seems, emigrated from Germany to Pennsylvania about the middle of the 18th century.
The task was no small one, and in many cases the lists are incomplete, due to a lack of interest on the part of those in possession of the information that would have made many of the partial lists complete.
