Small enterprises have emerged as an engine of growth in the new millennium. It has helped in generation of large scale employment at lower capital cost, balanced regional development, generation of exportable surplus and in the establishment of more flexible, innovative and competitive structure. Small scale sector is key component in the economic life, not only because of their number and variety but also their involvement in every aspect of the economy, the complementary role they play in support of the large scale sector. In India too they have emerged as a dynamic component of Indian economy. An attempt has been made to find out the negative and positive aspects of Liberalization. Dividing into seven chapters, chapter 1 talks about growth of small scale sector in pre and post liberalized period. Various studies related to this sector have been covered in chapter 2. Chapter 3 states small sector in Delhi region whereas chapter 4 mentions the profile of consumer electronics and garment units selected for research. Chapter 5 and chapter 6 presents analysis of survey conducted . Conclusion with suggestion is highlighted in chapter 7.
