While the work is a little more extended than the majority of school text-books on this subject, every endeavor has been made to avoid technicalities, and a glossary containing an accurate definition of a large number of the medical terms used will, no doubt, add much to the usefulness of the work. For the prepar ation of this glossary the author wishes to give due credit to Foster's Encyclopaedia of Medicine.
