O knihe

With a general election just months away, Alex Kalfas, the Greek Prime Minister unexpectedly finds his government embroiled in an international dispute with North Macedonia and their claim to the name Macedonia itself. Then the most affluent suburb of Athens is stunned by an explosion which kills twenty-five people. His Home Office Minister Kaliope Vlachos, working with Yannis Spanos, the head of the Greek anti-terrorist squad, close in on the bomber. But, before he can be apprehended he is killed by an assassin known as 'the fixer.' Alex's friend, Chris Horsman, the CIA Athens Station Head, informs him that Arthur Eckersley, North Macedonian born, and CEO of Xplore Industries, is desperate to buy the Macedonian bauxite mines owned by Hellenic Aluminium. He needs the aluminium and alumina to clad his space launch vehicles. Alex finds out that his ex-girlfriend is working undercover for the CIA. A coach with a UN delegation to North Macedonia's capital Skopje, is stopped as it crosses the border and the passengers taken hostage. In Salonika, a national monument is destroyed by an Eckersley sponsored group. Frustrated, Eckersley's right wing collaborator hires Donovan, an international criminal, to assassinate Alex. Alex and friends are in a race against time to somehow stop the killing and save Greek Macedonia from falling into North Macedonia's hands.
