The informal sector plays a crucial role in the economy not only in terms of employment opportunities, but also in terms of poverty alleviation. Unorganized sector provides earning opportunities for a large number of people, plays a central role in the developing economy like India, in terms of employment, national domestic product, saving and capital formation. 93 percent unorganized sector workers, which are far from economic development, due to the failure of state policy to bridge the social security gap between organized and unorganized sector.
