Data was obtained from Pakistan Social and Living Standard Measurement Survey (PSLM) 2008-2009. This study will provide guides lines for formulating policies and interventions that will help to alleviate poverty. With the view to providing recommendations for policy formulation that could help to reduce poverty and improve the living conditions of the people in Pakistan
