However, it is also grown successfully in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world as a commercial fruit crop. Grape cultivation in India assumes great significance due to its high productivity (21.80 MT/ha) as compared to many other grape producing countries. A record yield of 150 tonnes per hectare was harvested at Hyderabad with Anab-e-Shahi cultivar which was termed as biological wonder by Olmo (1970). 'Red Globe', the upcoming variety The vines are moderate in vigour, but tend to produce more number of bunches with variable sizes. Hence, optimum canopy size and bunch number per vine are to be maintained for achieving better fruit quality. Berries are very bold, spherical in shape with few soft seeds. Pulp is very firm and fleshy; peel is light red in colour, often peelable. Berries will be attractive when they turn to wine red colour and fetches high price in the market.
