This work evidences the transcendence of the freedom to decide the scope of action of each individual defining emotional stability and its results are as follows: the distribution of each of the variables in the sample was analyzed and then the prevalences and 95% confidence intervals of each category of the variables were calculated. The sample subjects (n = 2055) were distributed as follows: 57% female and 43% male (Table 1). The ethnic distribution was: Mestizo 91.1%, Black 1.1%, White 1.1%, Montubio 6.2%, Quichua 0.3% and others 0.1% (Table 2). The age ranges used in the analyses correspond to international standards and allow comparison with similar research. The statistical analyses were carried out using the IBM® SPSS Statistics® software. The age distribution was as follows: infants 0.1%, preschoolers 1.0%, school children 4.8%, adolescents 11.5%, young adults 44.5%, middle adults 31.9% and older adults 6.2%.
