O knihe

In this book, mathematical modeling and simulations of some peristaltic flows with the consideration of inertial terms in the governing transport equations have been presented. Usually, such peristaltic flows have been dealt with the aid of long-wavelength approximation which consequently results in the huge mathematical simplification of the governing equations. But in this book, authors have not utilized the long-wavelength approximation and has solved the full governing questions without any simplification. In this regard, the authors utilized the finite element numerical scheme and computed the results for small as well as large Reynolds number. Beware long-wavelength approximation does not allow to go for a large Reynolds number. This is the major achievement of the authors. This book spreads over nine chapters where the first chapter is fully devoted to the introduction and preliminary knowledge related to the topic. In the subsequent chapters, the peristaltic flow with different physical assumptions including the consideration of MHD, mixed convection, porous medium, axially symmetric flow domain for Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids has been investigated.
