Swayambhu: A World Heritage Destination

This book is significant for three principal reasons. Fisrt, analysis of current system, responsibilities and roles of different stakeholders and problem creating elements in practice has not previously employed in Nepal and this approach of the research bring in new panorama into the field of conservation and management system of world heritage site. Second, the research helps to add our knowledge of the actual problems for the management and conservation system of entire site and coordination with all the stakeholders for the execution of management plan as well that helps to the local residents of the site, government planners and heritage managers too. Many of aspects on the problem and solution for coordination between stakeholders, local residents and related matters were observed and studied so that further problems and lack of coordination would not take place in conservation and management system. Third, the research has opened up many ways to launch conservation and management program with the coordination among stakeholders including communities and local residents.
