The story is set in the East End of London and is one of the first examples of the Locked-room mystery genre. A thrilling page-turner not to be missed by lovers of classic mystery fiction. Israel Zangwill (1864-1926) was a British author. He was a leading figure in cultural Zionism during the 19th century, as well as close friend of Theodor Herzl.
