O knihe

Rock art is an archaeological heritage which unveils the lifestyle of the hunter-gatherers during the pre-historic period. It can be categorised into both, paintings and engravings which stands as a document that substantiate the cultural, social and economic activities of the Khoisan people who survived during the pre-historic period in various places. These paintings are most found in places with granite rocks and caves, for example in Chiremba and Muguta areas of Epworth, Harare, Zimbabwe. The sites have got depictions of various miscellaneous, plant images, animals and depictions of human figures which reveals a reflection of the lifestyle of the people during the ancient period. In these sites there is the presence of apostolic churches that are still using the area as a worshiping centre because they believe it to be sacred, and their supplications can be accepted by the creator.
