Sethral had thought that the return of an ex-tyrant would signal an end to the monotonous, extending winters and languid days. She is beginning to regret her wishes. Winter the Mountainair has made a permanent home in the south, giving up her migratory ways and showing a fresh interest in a way of life she abandoned years ago. The specific reason is a mystery, but then again, she is a mystery in general. Sethral must make a few new pals before realising that other creatures still recognise Winter as who she once was. Winter's response to their companionship is what makes them know that the tyrant would rather those creatures vanish.
