O knihe

The scientific interpretation of the Gospel of Matthew consists in the fact that the language and style of the book does not correspond to the 30 years of the I century, the author was not an eyewitness of the described events, and the book itself is composed not in Aramaic language. Besides, it is not the primary gospel, as the author uses the text of the Gospel of Mark (or rather, its original version is the Protomark). Some researchers believe that the book was written in Palestine, while others believe that it was written in Syria in the late 1st - early 2nd centuries. The Gospel of Mark is considered the earliest of the canonical Gospels. It became the basis for the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. Traditionally, Mark is identified with the son of a widow, Mary, whose house was usually the place where the first Christians gathered (Acts 12:12). At first Mark was a disciple of the apostle Paul, then he became a companion of Paul and Barnabas, and joined Peter in Rome. Contemporary Bible scholars agree that the author of the gospel may have been a man named Mark, but not the same Mark that appears in the Acts of the Apostles or in the epistles of the Apostle Paul.
