The rural workers do not get adequate employment days in rural area which leads to migration to urban cities for their livelihood. Therefore, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment guarantee Act (MGNREGA-2005) has introduced to providing at least 100 days of Guarantee employment to rural households in every financial year, whose adult member volunteers to do unskilled manual work. In this book, we examine the impact of MGNREGA programme on employment, income security and migration in rural poor households in Ranga Reddy district, Telangana State.
