Still competing until the age of 56 a tragic accident ended his sporting life. In 1973 a chance meeting with Tommy Bruce, the sixties rock 'n' roll star, started him on a path into the world of showbusiness. As manager and promoter for Tommy, Dave got to meet all the great rock 'n' rollers from the Sixties and the world of entertainment of the day.
