O knihe
The objective of this research is to describe how the evolutionary interpretation of the Law allows the inclusion, within the current Ecuadorian legislation, of catastrophic, rare or orphan diseases within the state measures in favor of the right to work of people with disabilities. This research shows how catastrophic, rare or orphan diseases constitute a disability with respect to the right to work, due to existing social prejudices about them. At a general level, it is considered that people who experience them are not able to adequately comply with the assigned work tasks and therefore, it is necessary to apply to this social group the affirmative measures in force in the labor field in favor of people with disabilities.
