Domestic violence is a centuries-old problem and women are the group most affected by this issue. For a long time the feminine has been synonymous of passive, some say because of external influence, others because of physiology. The objective of this study is to understand the female victim of domestic violence and her personality profile through an exploratory study with a cross-sectional descriptive research design. The method chosen for the collection of material is the case study. Four women victims of domestic violence aged between 29 and 60 years old participated in this study. The protocol used was a Semi-Directive Interview the Revised Neo Personality Inventory (NEO-PI-R). The results suggest women who are more neurotic, less extroverted, more open to experience, kinder and more conscientious, with dysfunctional family dynamics, with unsatisfactory quality of relationships with parental figures and with contact with violence as children.
