In this book, the effect of carbon nanotube (CNT) reinforcement on mechanical, electrical and thermal properties of the CNT/Ag nanocomposite is presented. Nanocomposite materials have emerged as suitable alternatives to overcome the limitations of conventional micro composites. The CNT based metal matrix composites (MMCs) have vital potential for industrial applications. Silver (Ag) is an attractive metal due to its extremely high electrical and thermal conductivities. Silver and silver-graphite composites are used in electronics as interconnector and thermal management material. CNTs are considered as versatile incorporating element for fabrications of electrical contact materials instead of graphite by virtue of their unique properties. Here CNT reinforced Ag nanocomposites have been fabricated by modified molecular level mixing method. The primary goal of this book is to investigate the effect of CNT reinforcement on mechanical, electrical and thermal properties of CNT/Ag nanocomposites in reference to micro-structural characterization, type of CNT reinforcement (single wall and multiwall CNT), mode of functionalization (covalent and non-covalent) of multiwall CNTs.
