O knihe
The Arcadin Coast, one of the most important tourist poles of Haiti, is strong of more than fifteen kilometers of fine sandy beaches and abounds in hotels containing alone more than 500 rooms. This important area of Haitian tourism connects the inhabitants of the two largest geographical departments of the country: the West and Artibonite. The Coast is located in the territorial spaces of the following three main districts: Arcahaie, La Gonâve and Saint-Marc, the second largest city in the department of Artibonite, after Gonaïves. Hundreds of inhabitants of the above-mentioned cities and Port-au-Prince practically earn their living from the tourist activities of the Coast. Considering the importance of this corner of the world and the potential for tourism, the activities and the economic stakes that it represents for the State, the business sector and especially for the populations of the neighboring areas, we believe that it is high time that a synergy is found by the latter so that they can finally manage to lay the foundations for a true management of the said Coast.
