Toxoplasmosis (synonym: litter box disease) was formerly originated in wildlife species, since the discovery of Toxoplasma oocyst in 1970, Toxoplasma was known as one of the most worldwide distributed zoonotic diseases. However, toxoplasmosis is a neglected parasitic disease in Egypt with a little attention is paid for the health education of the public about the danger of it, its mode of spread, risk factors of acquiring it and methods of control.
