Unity in diversity is an Indian culture. All the traditional food reveals the culture of different places in the country. If one looks at each of the state it would be seen that every state has some specialty in usage of ingredients, a variety of foods and tastes and also health aspect. It has created a rich heritage which was needed to be protected for the next generations. Our review of the associations between dietary patterns and health outcomes found several associations that are suggestive of dietary effects on health. Author travelled across the country and experienced the dietary diversity in Indian cuisine, which has a great impact on environmental conditions and the author tried to find out the reason of food diversity and its scientific basis. After years of biological and medical research, it is definitely possible to look at the Indian diet as a robust and complex scientific concept. It can be used by any practitioner, provided it is adapted to each specific geographic area and population and called the modernized Indian diet. Respondents described their evaluation of food-related behaviors within a unique cultural framework.
