O knihe

Nowadays, the general practitioner is the specialist of first resort who coordinates the patient's care, ensures the synthesis, allows the continuity of care within the framework of a long term follow-up and develops a public health approach. His field of action is thus broad and multidisciplinary. Qualified in primary care, he must ensure the follow-up of his patients and, as such, has a legitimate place in the gynecological follow-up of women. According to Marie France LE GOAZIOU in the Revue du Practitioner, he can and must do gynecology. At present, specialists in obstetric gynecology cannot see all women for contraceptive problems, systematic examinations and screening, the most common therapies or menopause replacement therapy. It is therefore necessary that competence in this area be acquired at the end of their initial medical training.
