This study sought to tackle the emotional topic of transformation in South-African sports. By gauging success to date and bench marking against other models, the research looked at the sustainability of the current model employed and whether there was anything else that could be done to speed up the process in a responsible and sustainable manner. This is done by looking at international interventions and local objectives. Using the reports of the Eminent Persons Group on transformation and the sports and recreation reports from Parliament, this research looks at actual achievement against strategic objectives to see whether transformation has taken place and whether this is sustainable.
