Trust management involves a trustee taking legal and factual actions in respect of the object of management in the interests of the settlor (right holder) or the beneficiary. The trustee in the general case is a commercial organisation or individual entrepreneur with competence in the field of technology commercialisation. Exclusive rights to the results of intellectual activity in the scientific and technical sphere, as well as the rights to the results of R&D created at the expense of municipal (federal) funds are considered as the object of management. The implementation of legal and actual actions means performing a set of activities for the effective commercialization of the object of management, the main purpose of which is the production and sale of products based on the results, the rights to which have been transferred to the trust management.
